About this product

This is a genuine Shimano battery charger. This is the EC-E8004 which is the faster of the two Shimano chargers seen on the market. Many e-bikes come supplied with a slower charger. This one, at 4A is more than twice as fast as others. To see which you have, look on the back of the charger to find the code. If it says EC-E8004, then it's the fast one. 

This charger is compatible with all the Shimano e-bikes on the New Zealand market, including Gen 1 bikes.
