The Gepida Cargo City now at EBT and unbeatable value

Our love for cargo bikes keeps growing at EBT and led to our adoption of an under loved orphan of the scene - the Gepida Cargo City. These weren't getting the attention they deserved and ended up on clearance so we snapped up the lot to offer you an excellent value Bosch powered cargo bike. 

What we love about them:

• Really fun to ride. Zippy and agile for a cargo bike and on the compact side
• Robust and low maintenance with dual piston Shimano hydraulic disc brake and internal hub gears (Enviolo) driven by a chain
• Comes with a wheel lock (sometimes misnamed as cafe lock) keyed alike to the battery removal keys and a generous front rack
• Dual battery ready. Comes with 1 x 500Wh battery and has a spot for another one!
• Fast - the Bosch Cargo Line Speed drive unit won't give up until 45kph. However, the wheel size and gearing means you're unlikely to get to 45kph, so the feeling is of a bike that has a natural speed based on terrain and power level, as opposed to artificial limits

Some limitations:

• The Kickstand it came with was not great. It was the lowest part of the bike to the ground by far and would strike speed bumps, curbs etc and had a tendency to bend. We removed the supplied kickstand and have installed a centre-mounted side kickstand, which fits well and is safe to use. But of course you will no longer have a double centre stand. 
• It is a Bosch System 2 bike, so not the latest Bosch Smart System line-up
• Accessory choice is somewhat limited as most of the accessories were not imported into NZ. However, the bike comes with the front rack and wheel lock included in its price and from there we can add a basket/crate for the front rack. The rear rack is compatible with many of our child capsules (for little kids) and/or pannier bags including many cargo bike bags. And to carry a bigger passenger, the Urban Iki Junior Seat works. Or you can use a combo setup of cushion , foot pegs and wheel guards. For a handlebar, the Aventon Handlebar can fit, but with some customisation (drill extra holes into the handlebar's mounting plate).
